Hospital Care for Low Back Pain

The British Medical Journal reports a three-year study proves what most chiropractic patients know already. Chiropractic treatment works more effectively with higher patient satisfaction than outpatient medical treatment regarding these types of problems. The research reported involved 741 women and men with lower back pain. A three year follow-up demonstrated that there was a 29% higher improvement in those receiving chiropractic treatment over those receiving out-patient medical treatment. In addition many of the patients rated chiropractic more helpful compared to the hospital management. In conclusion the study stated that people seen by chiropractors derive more benefits and long-term satisfaction compared to those treated by hospitals.
